Hi! I’m Natalie, the herbalist behind Moonday Naturals.
As an educator and herbalist, my work is informed by extensive training and study in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicines as well as American indigenous practices in traditional herbal remedies and methods. While I have earned certificates in various herbal modalities from highly respected herb schools (Matthew Wood Institute of Herbalism), with a focus on female reproductive health, there is no official certifying body for herbalists in the United States. Therefore, my studies have fallen under renowned herbal mentors and predecessors, with my experience coming from extensive hands-on foraging, medicine making, and mentorship - all finding integration in the culmination of my herbal offerings.
My herbal methods are intuitive, place-based, and built around the training, education, and experiences I’ve received. I believe in a whole body approach, with respect to the body as a self-balancing system, and the herbs as guides to restore the body to balance and vitality.
Welcome! I hope you’ll stay awhile.
My wish is that in this space, you’ll discover the generous support that nature has offered people for as long as plants and humans have shared this planet, and that you’ll find vitality in this support from our plant allies.
And, too, I hope that we will all (re)connect to nature both externally and internally as we walk this path of natural wellness together, one step at a time. And that our connection with nature will be a healing wind of hope and renewal that extends to friends, families, and communities.
I’ve created this space to offer the remedies I make with intention and care, and to connect with my fellow natural folk in a world that so often seems to have forgotten our roots.
Here, you’ll find Earth-Grown, Wind-Blown, Sun-Soaked remedies to support your everyday wellness.
Our story
I still remember the first tincture I made - Goldenrod was in full bloom, calling my name, and finally, I decided to go for it. I foraged the golden blooms and vibrant green leaves and brought them home to give it a go. I ended up creating a remedy that supported my family and myself - but more than that, I discovered the empowerment of plant literacy, of wellness autonomy, and of knowing that nature is here to support me.
Today, you can find me selling my products in markets around town, leading workshops in my community, and of course, outside foraging for nature’s generous gifts.
My herbal inspiration and education comes from some amazing herbal teachers - Matthew Wood, Rosemary Gladstar, and Juliette de Baracli-Levy, to name a few.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I’m glad you’re here.
“In some Native languages, the term for plants translates to, ‘Those who take care of us’.”
